Medicinal herbs work in harmony with the human body, and bring us back into a state of balance while strengthening our systems, and serve as great teachers to us all. They are especially effective for children, whose tiny bodies can respond very quickly to even the gentlest herbs. While it is necessary to sometimes turn to western medicine for specific conditions, incorporating herbs into your family’s lives is an integral part of wellness. In addition, a lot of plants that are great for kids can be easily grown, and making your own medicine from them is very cost effective.
In this class, we will discuss several herbs that are great for children, their herbal actions, medicinal preparations, and how to grow them in your own garden. We will also go over common ailments, and how to effectively choose the best herbs for your kids. Individuals will take home several handouts, and be able to choose a packet of seeds to take home and plant.
